National Cathedral Flower Mart
Attention Gardeners!! Washington’s National Cathedral’s 69th annual outdoor Flower Mart Festival brings together 50 boutique booths, filled with home and garden items, antiques, books adn garden related products. Purchase a few bedding plants then tour the landscape exhibits and gardens. Plus there’s tons of fun for children. Kids can enjoy the moon bounce, rock climbing wall, a puppet show, a mini-ferris wheel and an antique carousel.
And don’t forget to sample a Flower Mart tradition, a lobster roll or any of the other food offerings.
Inside the Cathedral there will be multiple floral displays representing countries form around the world. This year’s theme county is the Republic of South Africa.

Tickets - FREE
Nearest Metro Subway Station - Tenleytown/AU or Woodley Park,/ National Zoo/Adams Morgan - Red line, then a short bus ride.
Shuttle buses run from the Tenley station on both days or take any Metro #30s bus directly to the Cathedral. From Woodley, take the The #90 bus.
Parking - Limited paid garage parking is available, as well as metered street parking.

This really is a fun event and a great showcase for the flowering and fleeting spring of DC! Don’t forget to check out the awesome gargoyles on the cathedral.
I agree Marilyn, some of the best gargoyles in DC are on the Cathedral.
