National Christmas Tree Lighting Tickets Available Nov. 3rd
Have we started the holiday season already??
The date for getting in line for tickets for the National Christmas Tree Lighting & Pageant Of Peace is set.
Tickets will be available this Saturday, November 3rd, starting at 8:00 a.m.
The tree lighting will take place on Thursday, December 6th, at 5:00 p.m., on the Ellipse, south of the White House.
In its 83rd year, this annual event was begun by President Calvin Coolidge on Christmas Eve in 1923.

Dates and Times - Ticket distribution starts at 8:00 a.m. and continues until all tickets are distributed. Plan on arriving VERY early is you want tickets.
Tickets - Tickets are free, however only 2,800 tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets are limited to 4 tickets per person. For additional information click here.
Nearest Metro Subway Station - Farragut West, Blue and Orange line, then a 4-block walk
Parking - Metered street parking is available in the area and should be easy before 8:00 a.m. within a few block walk.
