It’s Oscar Time !!!
And that means it’s time for the 79th annual Academy Awards and the 15th annual DC Film Society Oscars party.
While most of us can’t get tickets to the Kodak Theater in Hollywood to watch the Oscars live and mingle with the stars, you can join local film critics as they host the television broadcast awards show on the big screen at the Arlington Cinema “N” Drafthouse theater.
The Arlington Cinema “N” Drafthouse is a casual 1930 Art Deco theater that’s been converted into a cozy and rather unique theater and restaurant. They offer comfortable leather seating, tableside food service and even a full bar (yes, beer, wine and cocktails are available).
Besides just the Oscar broadcast, the party includes trivia contests, film promo item giveaways, door prizes and a silent auction.
The party starts with the red carpet pre-show and covers the awards ceremony from start to finish.
