A Pop Art Lichtenstein Head Comes to Washington, DC

Washington, DC’s latest American pop art addition is called “Modern Head”, by famed American pop artist, Roy Lichtenstein.
This blue painted stainless steel, 31-foot tall sculpture was installed at the corner of Ninth and F Streets in late August, on the grounds of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

Judge’s $67 Million Pants Lawsuit Resurfaces

Just when you thought the saga of the $67 million lost pants lawsuit in Washington, DC was over, it again, raises its ugly head. 
The initial suit, filed by a former Washington, DC administrative law judge was dismissed in June of last year.  Judge Roy Pearson was awarded nothing, after he claimed Custom Cleaners in Washington, DC had lost a pair of his pants.  He initially filed a suit for $1,000, but later increased the value of the pants to $67 million.
Sadly, the case has been reopened and will be argued again next month.

The Pentagon’s new 9/11 Memorial was dedicated on the 7th anniversary of the September 11th attack and crash of American Airlines Flight 77.

Located on the western edge of the Pentagon’s grounds, just across the Potomac River from the National Mall in Washington, DC, the site is open 24 hours-a-day to the public, it is adjacent to the original impact spot.
The 184 victims of the tragedy (59 victims on the plane and 125 died inside the Pentagon) are commemorated by a "memorial unit" or steel bench, one  for each person killed.
